I just don’t get it. How can anyone go to work without showering? Or being appropriately groomed. Or looking like something even the cat wouldn’t drag in.

Being well groomed and looking sharp would be the least anyone could do in terms of professionalism, apart from ,of course, having the requisite knowledge and competency. I personally find it affronting when people can come into the office with unwashed hair or worse unkempt clothes. Style, or rather, lack of style is another hairball. What’s with the polka dot shirt with power shoulder pads?! Or teaming a yellow blouse with red skirt?! Pairing work pants with track shoes?! (and a rather ugly pair, I might add) *tramatised* Sorry to disappoint these folks but someone should burst their deluded bubble.

And you don’t pair every piece of clothing you have with that one and only black bag you lug to work everyday.

Having been too lazy to learn driving, I take public transport to work everyday. Every morning, I am visually offended by fashion sins of every multitude and magnitude.

It’s like, they are daring you to protest. Red blouse and green skirt (what, is it Christmas already?), black skirt with white pumps, badly cut jacket with shapeless pants, tube tops, (too) short skirts, the list just goes on.

This is my personal hell every morning. And I wonder, do these people take pride in looking ugly?
