Now that the Elections are over, people seem to think that, well, everything is over, wait for another five years lor. On the contrary, I beg to differ. The ball game has merely just started.
They start the ball rolling with the arrest and release of James Gomez. I was astounded with the efficiency of the government. Boy, you have to give them credit where it is deserved, especially where it is rare.
Next, without much hoolala, they will quietly introduce price hikes in public transport, electrical tariffs and child care costs …

I can never, for the hell of me, understand why women get upset when their boyfriends/ husbands appreciate beauty, when it is not their own. Eyes are created for seeing and beauty is created for appreciation. Following that logic, men and women should enjoy beautiful things and people. But no. I have seen women get all huffy and puffy when their guys check out other goods. I witnessed one such comedy during lunch at the coffeeshop. I was minding my own business and thoroughly enjoying my yummy chicken rice and …

There was an article in the New Paper about this Taiwanese man, identified only as Lin, and how he drove his scooter into the sea in Gao Xiong, Taiwan. Except that he was deliberately riding into the sea with his 1-year-old daughter in tow. And he left her to drown while he got out himself. On Mother’s Day of all days. The child had been in the custody of the father, as the parents were divorced.
As always, I am deeply affected and saddened by such news. The first thought is …

Been holed up at home the last few days looking real horrifying, having been through one of the most horrifying experience in my life. Three words.
Wisdom Tooth Surgery.
Holy cow, it was more painful than childbirth, I tell you, and I went through both caesarean and natural birthing experiences, so that’s saying a lot.
If you are a masochistic sadist who is into drilling, pain, injections, pain, painful sound effects and more pain, then look no further than your friendly neighbourhood dentist. Much better if your gums are already infected from the …

I realized how deprived I am for intelligent company when I went out with Jean last Thursday. Having being taken literally all the time, I was slightly taken aback when I asked her how she was taking the heat so far and she took it in the figurative meaning. I had to ask her if she was feeling the preggers heat as in soaring body temperature. It’s like, going without water for so long that you take thirst as a norm. Suddenly you get WATER and you almost forgot the …

I received an email from a blogder who had been following my blog from Day 1. In summary, she expressed worry for me because my blog had been political in nature.
Huh?
Huh?
Thanks, but I do feel a need to clarify.
Perhaps I should put a disclaimer clearly disputing that without any grounds for argument. This is NOT a political blog as opposed to Singbloodypore, WPnews, JamesGomez or even the thinly disguised Rockson. It’s merely a platform where I take delight in sharing my observations and thoughts, and occasionally, venomous vents.
And for the …

As the blogosphere and cyberspace rage on with disappointment and anger over the results of the Singapore elections, I remain blas. It was no surprise to me anyway, with the exception of Potong Pasir, which I had cynically expected to be swayed by the proverbial carrot. Good for you, Potong Pasir voter of SDA! You have shown great perseverance to pork and carrot, and goodness know what other food paraphernalia dangled in front of you. I also expected the voters to sway due to the incisions made on Chiam See …

Headlines today: Security “Officer” position US$5,000.00. “Human Resources” position US$7,000.00. Undertaker position US$10,000.00
Not.
Stupid people with sheep mentality and grasping greed got conned more than S$166 grand as they believe that people with minimal education and intelligence can draw salaries in the range of tertiary educated professionals. Hell, tertiary educated professionals may not even draw that much.
What, did they fashion themselves to be ministers?

“Repression, Sir is a habit that grows. I am told it is like making love-it is always easier the second time! The first time there may be pangs of conscience, a sense of guilt. But once embarked on this course with constant repetition you get more and more brazen in the attack. All you have to do is to dissolve organizations and societies and banish and detain the key political workers in these societies. Then miraculously everything is tranquil on the surface. Then an intimidated press and the government-controlled radio …
