The weekend of 777 and Transformers
Big and I went to his friend’s wedding dinner (yes, another one) last Saturday at the Hilton. Apparently 7 July 07 was quite a popular date for weddings. There were 3 wedding dinners packed in the ballrooms that night, and I am sure many more in the other hotels.
Typical powerpoint slides of the couples’ photographs from childhood to present was flashed on the screens. I turned to Big and commented once again, “Please let’s NOT have this, it’s so cliché and lame…”
Thankfully he also agrees with me.
However, they also showed a DVD of them re-enacting how they met and of their courtship, which I thought was a nice touch. It was light hearted and humorous and rather touching too. I teared up a little when they showed how the guy proposed to the girl. Yeah, I know I am such a nincompoop. I didn’t even know them personally! I was struggling so hard to control myself as didn’t want to embarrass Big. Imagine, me bawling my eyes out at the table with his friends looking horrified. Hahahahaha!!
There were two very gorgeous girls sitting with us that night. One was a tanned babe with long Pocahontas hair and a cute little button nose. The other was a Eurasian looking hot chick with beeeeeg beeeeeg eyes and pouty lips. Gorgeous!!! It was a little disappointing that both were not busty (yes, me and my fetish), but hey, eye candy is eye candy. Yes, I had a feast of visual and gastronomical delights that night.
We caught Transformers in a midnight show at Cineleisure after the dinner. It’s one of those movies that I thought would suck but will watch anyway because the boyfriend likes it. No, not because I have doormat syndrome, but because he has always spoilt me rotten, it shouldn’t and wouldn’t kill me to watch a movie that he likes. Thankfully my assumption about the movie was wrong. I really enjoyed the amazing graphics and special effects, albeit the rather lame storyline. There was this irritating chap beside me who kept leaning towards me waaaaay too close. *Growl* Way up there with idiots who like to kick others’ seats and loud commentators.
Cineleisure was packed with youngsters as movies were running on 24/7. There were even movies showing at 4am, but old bones here was feeling sleepy after the Transformer movie so no go. Geez, lousy old fart. Some shops were even open for shopping at 11pm. I did a spot of accessories shopping before we went in for the movie.
All in all, a wonderful day as always.
