Who died and made you the Overlord of the Blogosphere?

23 November 2007 One Comment

Speaking from the viewpoint of a blogger, there are certain types of blogs and bloggers whom I am quite allergic to.

Personally I don’t like sex blogs that are badly written. Not those that are so beautifully crafted and sensuous that they give you goosepimples. I am referring to those with disgusting grammer, crude writing and which portray sex in a dirty light. very distasteful and sensationally cheap. But of course you don’t see me dissing those blogs here or leaving typically anonymous comments there. Nobody died and made me the Overlord of the Blogosphere..

Speaking of which, is sex dirty? Depending on your own POV of course. If you see it as something that is natural and a part of human nature, something that people will always be curious about, a sensual make up of our DNA, then it is just a part of life. Significant for some, not so significant for some, but nevertheless pat of life.

If you think it is dirty, sinful, base, beneath yourself to even think about it, talk about it much less do it, then yes, the word “sex” and its connotations and it manifestations in all its forms will be very horrifying indeed.

I belong to the former of course. And while I don’t exactly surf porn sites during my free time, I am naturally curious about any such interesting tidbits :P . What really irritates me is when some bloggers bait people into their blogs with deceptive of deceitful titles, upon when we realise that the content has nothing whatsoever to do with the catchy sensational sounding title. These blogs usually earn that one and only last click from me. I don’t take very kindly to deceit or integrity deficiency. Of course I am not referring to humour-related articles like the awesome nude thumbnails post. I was tickled pink!

On the other hand, I find it very amusing (for want of a kinder word) that there are some who will try to regulate the blogosphere by trying to dictate what kind of topic is acceptable, and what people should be blogging about. *incredulous*

Who died and make these people the Overlords of the Blogospere I wonder?
