Work updates

May 5th, 2008 by Xtralicious

I seem to have settled down and eased into the work flow with nary a hiccup. And that’s with a crappy handover. Guess it comes when you have been used to a punishing pace and anything less is simply… a breeze.

And even Big can tell. He says I am not as stretched as I was at previous employer, and am relaxed on Sundays too. Thinking back, I would get rather preoccupied and even jumpy on Sundays, because I knew I would have a punishing week ahead of me.

So, it’s good. and I am the one soothing my kancheong bosses when they get all frenzied about deadlines and changes. “Relax”, I tell them. “I can handle it.”

You have no idea how much pleasure it brings me to say that.

“I can handle it. No problems.”

Shiok.

Sometimes I have to remind myself not to be so “on”. My pace was apparently too fast for one of our clients and my boss told me to be sensitive to the relationship. In other words, put the diaper where the money is. Lai… jiejie hold your hand, let’s all walk slowly.. :P

But overall I think my bosses are quite pleased with me and they have been peppering conversations with “excellent”, “super thanks” and “you’re great”.

And apart from the work which I obviously can handle, throw in a few spanners and I can maneuver without a chip to my manicure, they pretty much trust me a lot and leave me to my initiatives. Which I like.
