Non Baked Oreo Cheesecake - very easy to make!
Made Oreo Cheesecake for the Big and small kids yesterday.

Was having a lot of fun pretending to be Nigella as I was mixing the cheese. *think orgasmic face and licking fingers* LOL!!
Am planning to do more baking in the days to come. Like I said, baking is very therapeutic for me, especially after a day of work. I imagine I will be baking all manners of cakes and pastries if I were to be a stay home mum

Recipe extracted from Kraft website.
1 cup crushed OREO Original Cookies
50g butter, melted
500g block PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
3/4 cup caster sugar
3 teaspoons gelatine, dissolved in 1/4 cup boiling water
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 cup cream, lightly whipped
100g OREO* Chocolate Crème Cookies, crushed
50g OREO* Chocolate Crème Cookies, extra, roughly chopped
COMBINE the cup of cookie crumbs and butter and press into a lined 20cm springform pan. Chill
BEAT the Philly* and sugar with an electric mixer until smooth. Fold in the gelatine mixture, lemon juice, cream and the 50g of roughly chopped crumbs.
POUR the filling into the prepared crust, refrigerate for 30 minutes. Sprinkle with the 100g of crushed cookies and refrigerate for another for 2 hours or until set.
*note: I tried a ready made crust from Cold Storage to see if it is good. Not very good. I’d rather be virtuous and make my own biscuit base next time!

Looks good:) Thanks for the recipe. Shall try it out myself some day.. I hope that some day will come soon:P
I’m trying out the recipe now, at my workplace! Replacing Oreos with Kong Guan Biscuits: uniquely Singapore, mah.
pinky: You should.. it is a VERY easy recipe
kosherjelly: Hey hey welcome here. How’s the taste like? You used KG chocolate buscuits?
Heh heh, so formal! No need to welcome lah. I’ve been reading your blog for quite awhile already.
Yes, I used KG chocolate biscuits, and the coconut ones as well. The result is pretty good, and fecking sinful as well… all that cheese!
Thanks for sharing receipe anyway. Do drop by if you wanna try my “version”! http://food03.sg
kosherjelly: Gee. Wel..uh.. ok.
Cool, I might try using KG sometime. You write for that blog?
Nah I don’t write for that blog.
err.was wondering what do u mean by combine crumbs and butter together?what crumbs are u refering.sorry.i abit slow when come to baking cakes.
Hi Iris
Mix the cup of crushed cookies with the butter - this will be the base.
thanks thanks for the response.as for the cream,is it the normal whipped cream that we used for cakes?
No probs. Yes you can use the normal whipped cream or you can use low fat whipped cream as I did.
okok.for the one last question.what is the measure for ur cup?
220 ml
hi! cake looks great. But is there any way that the crust can be dark brown as well? Then it’ll look more oreo-ish. haha.
val: you can use crushed oreo biscuits and mix with butter for the base which will turn out to be the same colour as the top. I used a ready made crust from Cold Storage in the pic so the colour is different.
